Summer Climate in Lanzarote
June is the start of summer in Lanzarote which sees the temperature increasing sharply. The temperature at the start of this month hovers around 23 Celsius but gets hotter closer to July. July is one of the hottest months in Lanzarote when the temperature will top 30 Celsius. The average temperature for the month is 26 Celsius but will seem much hotter for most of the month. There has never been any recorded rainfall in July over the last 30 years at least. The sea temperature will remain at 21 Celsius. July has recorded a high temperature of 42.9 Celsius. Only August has recorded a hotter temperature in recent years.
August is the hottest month in Lanzarote with an average temperature of at least 25 Celsius. Most days of August will be much hotter than the monthly average suggests. The temperature will regularly exceed 30 Celsius. August, like July has no rainfall at all but the sea temperature increases to 22 Celsius. The hottest temperature recorded in August is a baking 43.6 Celsius. Hotter than any other monthly high temperature.
September is the start of the autumn months when the temperatures begins to drop. Most of September is as hot as August when the average temperature remains around 25 Celsius. September has a good 8 hours of sunshine and the sea temperature is a warm 22 Celsius. Although the temperatures are dropping you can expect to see plenty of days that top 30 Celsius. A high temperature of 40.5 Celsius has been recorded in September.
