Majorca or Mallorca as it’s also known is by far the biggest of the Balearic Islands. Both in land mass and population.
This island boasts around 40 fantastic resorts in which to spend your holiday. The climate and weather in Majorca play a big part in attracting the millions of visitors to it’s shores each year.
Although we don’t have the eternal spring weather of the Canary Islands, the summers here more than make up for it. The average temperature during the winter months can drop to 6 Celsius and even lower at times.
March sees a gradual increase in the temperature that will peak in August. The temperature will start decreasing through autumn and winter.

December
December is the beginning of the winter with an average temperature of 11 Celsius. It rains for around 7 days during this month and the sea temperature drops further to a chilly 17 Celsius.
The evenings will now seem much colder if you live in Majorca all year round. The temperature will be in single figures at night. The hours of daily sunshine also drops to 6, less than half the hours of July and less than any other month.
January
January is the coldest month in Majorca. The average temperature during the day is now around 10 Celsius. Like December, the evenings will now be in single figures for most nights.
The sea drops to a chilly 15 Celsius during this month but the hours of sunshine increases to 7 hours. January sees a fair bit of rainfall, it will rain for around 6 days. The height of winter features at least some stormy and windy weather. This weather could arrive for a period during January.
February
February is the last of the winter months when the temperature will start to increase. This month can be as cold as January in many ways, especially at the beginning of the month.
The hours of sunshine is now creeping up to 8 hours per day leading up to spring but the sea remains at 15 Celsius. February also sees a reduction in the level of precipitation. It still tends to rain for around 6 days of this month.
Majorca Weather September, October & November
The autumn months consist of September, October and November. The weather in Majorca is becoming much cooler after the hot summer
September
September sees a considerable decrease in temperature to around 21 Celsius. The rainfall will over double that of August and there will likely be 5 days of rain.
The hours of sunshine per day will also decrease to 10 but the sea temperature will remain at a warm 25 Celsius. The beginning of September can be as hot as August. The temperature will drop towards the end of the month. Majorca has recorded a high temperature of 38 Celsius in September. Expect plenty of hot weather if visiting during this month.
October
October sees the most rainfall in Majorca. There is also another big drop in temperature. The weather in Majorca in October is generally pretty good. Apart from the 7 days of average rainfall that will arrive.
The temperature cools to around 18 Celsius on average. The evening temperature will now begin to feel colder also. A high temperature of 33 Celsius was recorded in this month. Most of the warmer days tend to come early in the month.
November
November sees more drops in the temperature. From a warmish 17 Celsius early in the month to a chilly 11 Celsius towards the end of the month. The average temperature is 14 Celsius for November. This will seem much colder as winter approaches.
November sees less rainfall than October but there will be around 6 days rain on average. The sea temperature will also fall to 19 Celsius and the evenings can reach single figures. Like much of the mainland, You will need some form of heating towards the end of this month.
